Teen shot in neck during Brooklyn robbery linked to social media meetup

Brooklyn, NY — A planned meeting to sell clothing through social media turned violent when a 15-year-old boy was shot in the neck during a robbery in Brooklyn, leaving investigators searching for two suspects who fled on foot.

The incident occurred Friday at approximately 7:28 p.m. near Kings Highway and Bay Parkway, where the teen had arranged to meet two unidentified individuals to complete a sale.

During the encounter, one of the suspects grabbed the victim’s jacket and ran, prompting the teen to chase after him. As the pursuit unfolded, the suspect produced a firearm and shot the victim once in the neck.

Both suspects fled the area on foot following the shooting and have not been identified.

The victim survived the shooting, though the extent of his injuries beyond the gunshot wound has not been detailed.
