A historic community tradition

The Toms River Halloween Parade began as a small neighborhood event and has grown into a destination celebration drawing visitors from across the region. Generations of families have marched, decorated floats, and lined the sidewalks each year to witness the town’s most festive night.

Assistant Chief Carl Weingroff, who chairs the Halloween Parade Committee, said the event continues to embody the spirit of the community. “It’s an opportunity for everyone to come together and celebrate safely in a family-friendly environment,” he said.

Downtown transforms into Halloween central

Local businesses and residents are preparing for large crowds as Downtown Toms River converts into a Halloween hub. Street closures will be in effect along Main Street, and attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure a viewing spot.

The parade regularly attracts national attention due to its scale and longevity, featuring intricate floats, fire apparatus, costumed performers, and themed displays that rival those of larger metropolitan events.
