BALTIMORE, Md. — Maryland Lottery players saw a variety of wins in the past week, with prizes totaling over $31.3 million. A series of notable wins included a third-tier Mega Millions prize and several significant scratch-off payouts.
A player in Dunkirk won $40,000 from a Mega Millions ticket, while three additional Mega Millions tickets, each worth $10,000, were purchased in Capitol Heights, Olney, and Pasadena. These wins occurred as the Mega Millions jackpot surged to $800 million.
The biggest individual win of the week came from a scratch-off ticket. A player in Cambridge claimed a $100,000 prize on the “Money Rush” game. Meanwhile, a total of seven Pick 5 tickets, sold on the same day at a grocery store in Owings Mills, resulted in $175,000 in combined prize money.
Throughout the week ending September 8, 44 tickets worth $10,000 or more were either sold or redeemed. In addition to the third-tier Mega Millions winners, Maryland Lottery retailers sold a variety of winning scratch-offs.
