TOMS RIVER, NJ – Toms River Council President Matt Lotano on Wednesday announced the township had launched a new feature on its website that allows residents to have complete information on ordinances, resolutions, and bills similar to what is given to elected officials prior to meetings.
The new system will allow the townspeople to review bills and claims and give them access to detailed information about proposed ordinances and resolutions.
Lotano said the new system went live this week.
Councilman Dan Rodrick who has been a proponent of making that information more readily available to the public and his fellow councilmembers thanked Lotano and town officials for the new system.
“I want to thank Council President Lotano, this is something we have needed for a very long time, ” Rodrick said. “Residents can now go on the website sand see the same documents and information the council is given before each meeting.”
