Baltimore, MD – Fortune struck three Maryland communities on Tuesday night when players in Bladensburg, Chevy Chase and Glen Burnie each won $50,000 in the latest Bonus Match 5 drawing.
The Sept. 9 drawing carried a numerical twist: the winning numbers — 3, 6, 9, 18 and 27 — were all divisible by three. The Bonus Ball was 25, but the date itself added to the pattern, falling on the 252nd day of the year, also evenly divisible by three.
The winning tickets were purchased at three locations: a 7-Eleven on Kenilworth Avenue in Bladensburg, Friendship Gourmet Market on Friendship Boulevard in Chevy Chase, and Quarterfield Auto Service on Quarterfield Road in Glen Burnie.
According to the Maryland Lottery, the wins bring the 2025 total of Bonus Match 5 top-prize winners to 32. Drawings are held nightly, with players selecting five numbers from one to 39. A Bonus Ball drawn from the remaining numbers provides additional chances at lower-tier prizes, but the $50,000 jackpot requires matching all five main numbers.
Officials remind players to sign their tickets immediately and store them securely. Winners have 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.
