JACKSON-On Tuesday January 6, 2015 at 1:48 am, Police Officers Christopher Schinder, Shannon Foote, Edward Travisano and Anthony Riso responded to the report of a dispute between multiple people at a residence on Freehold Road.
Upon arrival, Officers interviewed a male resident who reported that he had a male and female friend, who had both left the scene prior to the officer’s arrival, at his house and that the three had been consuming alcoholic beverages during the evening. It was reported to the officers that during this time, first a verbal argument occurred between the parties and then the female subject had passed out. Fearing that the female had overdosed on an unknown substance, the resident and other male then placed the female in the bathtub and began to run cold water over her to awaken her. As she regained consciousness, the female began to struggle with the two males, and later made the allegation that she thought they were attempting to drown her. The female then reportedly stripped off her wet clothing and left the residence wearing only a winter coat. Due to concerns of her leaving this way in the extremely cold weather, the male guest went out to locate her.
As the officers were at the residence interviewing the male resident, other officers located the male and female who had left the scene after hearing them arguing and yelling loudly near the intersection of Cassville and Thompson Bridge Roads.
Officers attempted to interview the female about the incident but it was discovered that she was extremely intoxicated and agitated as she began to yell obscenities loudly at the officers as they spoke with her. During this time, it was discovered that there were outstanding warrants for the female’s arrest and officers attempted to have her sit down out of concern of her falling and injuring herself in her condition. She then pushed an officer and as she was advised that she was under arrest, she then resisted the officer’s attempts to place handcuffs on her. She was ultimately handcuffed and taken into custody.
As she was secured in a patrol unit for escort to police headquarters, the female yelled obscene comments at the officers, reportedly calling them profane names, claiming they were trying to look at her since she was only clothed in a winter jacket and making comments about harming their family members. After being placed in a patrol unit, she kicked at the rear window but did not cause damage due to security bars in place on the window. As the officers opened the door to stop her actions, she spit at Officer Schinder. She was then transported to headquarters for processing.
It was during this time that the officers also placed the male under arrest after discovering an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
A purse owned by the female was recovered at the scene and brass knuckles and a glass smoking pipe, commonly used for smoking marijuana was discovered in it.
While being processed at police headquarters, the female was uncooperative and continued to yell profanities at the officers while also making comments of wanting to harm herself. Jackson First Aid responded to transport her to an area hospital for treatment and as she was being readied for transport, she spit at Sgt. Frank Mendez.
Arrested:
Corrine Wilson, age 23 of Island Heights, NJ. Ms. Wilson was charged with disorderly conduct, obstruction, resisting arrest, two counts of throwing bodily fluid at a law enforcement officer, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a prohibited weapon. She also had three outstanding warrants for her arrest out of Bloomfield, Lakehurst and Island Heights. Bail was set at $50,000.00 with no ten percent option by Judge Daniel Sahin and she was lodged in the Ocean County Jail after being checked at an area hospital.
Damien Stetson, age 30 of Lakewood, NJ. Mr. Stetson had an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of Tinton Falls. He was processed and released with a court date as per Tinton Falls.
