NEW YORK, N.Y. — The New York City Police Department has arrested two teenagers and is seeking additional suspects in connection with an assault on a 62-year-old woman that took place last month on Staten Island.

The incident occurred on Monday, July 15, 2024, at approximately 7:20 p.m. in front of 850 Howard Avenue, within the confines of the 120th Precinct. Police reported that the victim was approached by several unidentified individuals, two of whom began punching and pushing her. The attack resulted in the victim losing a tooth and sustaining minor lacerations.

Following the assault, the individuals fled the scene on foot, heading westbound on Clove Road. The victim was transported to Richmond University Medical Center, where she was treated for her injuries and listed in stable condition.

As the investigation progressed, authorities arrested a 13-year-old male and a 14-year-old male, each charged with third-degree assault with intent to cause physical injury. The NYPD continues to seek public assistance in identifying additional individuals involved in the assault.

“This is what happened,” the New York City Police Department said in a statement. The investigation remains ongoing.
