Two Young Girls Shot in Northeast D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department detectives are asking for the public’s assistance identifying a vehicle involved in a shooting that happened Friday afternoon in Northeast, D.C.

Just after 4:30 pm, officers arrived at the 600 block of Division Avenue to investigate a report of a shooting.  Police found two female juveniles suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were taken to a nearby hospital. Both victims are expected to survive.

No details have been disclosed by authorities about the motive or events leading up to the shooting. Additionally, no description of the suspect has been made available.
