UTICA, NY — On the evening of June 21, 2024, at approximately 8:10 PM, officers from the Utica Police Department’s Crime Prevention Unit were conducting proactive narcotics enforcement on the 600 block of Lenox Ave. During their operation, they observed an individual engaging in suspected narcotics activity.

Officers stopped the male suspect and, with his consent, conducted a search. The search revealed a quantity of suspected heroin packaged in individual plastic baggies and over $1,300 in cash. The suspect was detained and transported to the Utica Police Department.

An investigator from the Special Investigations Unit was called back to work to handle the charges. Bryan Pagan-Robles, 33, of Utica, was charged with multiple counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, including:

  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the fourth degree
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree

The arrest underscores the ongoing efforts of the Utica Police Department to combat narcotics-related activities in the community.
