The reports cover incidents from Wednesday through Sunday, with arrests on state highways and local roads and several defendants released under John’s Law.

DWI arrests across highways

On Wednesday, an officer stopped a vehicle on State Highway 138 near midnight and arrested a 24-year-old Brick resident for DWI, according to the blotter.

Early Saturday, separate stops on Asbury Road and Highway 138 led to DWI arrests of drivers from Manahawkin and Ocean. Both were processed and released in accordance with John’s Law.

Friday’s blotter entry also listed a Belmar man arrested on a Wall Township warrant after being transported by New Jersey State Police.

Drug charges and warrants

On Sunday, a 24-year-old Seattle woman was stopped on River Road with K9 assistance and charged with possession of heroin, crack cocaine, Clonazepam, Xanax and drug paraphernalia. She was processed and released on a summons.

Also Sunday, a 31-year-old Brick man was charged with possession of synthetic marijuana and paraphernalia after a stop on State Highway 34 and transported to the county jail.

Additional entries noted arrests on traffic warrants, including motorists from Lakehurst, Neptune and Brick following separate stops and station investigations.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
