Multiple arrests reported in Wall Township during week of March 9
WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. — A series of arrests ranging from drug offenses and theft to DWI and road rage were reported by Wall Township police during the week of March 9 through March 15.
Authorities said several arrests followed motor vehicle stops along major roadways, including State Highway 18, State Highway 35, State Highway 70 and Interstate 195.
Among the incidents, a 40-year-old Barnegat man was arrested for theft of a motor vehicle following an investigation on State Highway 70. In another case, two people — a 30-year-old Camden woman and a 25-year-old Pennsylvania man — were charged with possession of crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a child after a traffic stop on State Highway 35.
Police also reported multiple warrant arrests during the week, including a 42-year-old Brick man taken into custody on a Wall Township traffic warrant and a 46-year-old Neptune woman arrested on a criminal warrant.
Two drivers were charged with driving while intoxicated. One arrest followed a crash on Meetinghouse Road shortly after midnight on March 13, while another driver was stopped on Interstate 195 late that evening.
Investigators also charged a Neptune man with simple assault, terroristic threats and possession of a weapon following a road rage incident reported March 12.
The week’s arrest log also included charges of eluding and obstruction connected to a prior incident, as well as a trespassing arrest at an Aldi store on State Highway 35.
Officials reminded the public that all charges are accusations and defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
