PHILADELPHIA, PA—Philadelphia Police’s Homicide Unit is actively investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on the highway at 48xx N. Broad Street. The incident, which took place inside a deli around 4:45 PM, resulted in the death of a 32-year-old Black female who was shot once in the back.
She was quickly transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center by Medic 15, where she was pronounced dead at 5:17 PM.
Authorities have secured the crime scene for further investigation. As of now, no arrests have been made, and no weapons have been recovered. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear.
