BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Police are searching for a woman who struck a 56-year-old female passenger over the head with a metal bottle during a dispute aboard a southbound D train on Thursday, June 5.

The incident occurred at approximately 1:00 p.m. inside the 59 Street subway station in Brooklyn. According to police, the unidentified woman engaged in an argument with the victim before striking her, causing a head laceration.

After the assault, the suspect fled the station on foot and boarded a southbound R train in an unknown direction. Emergency medical services treated the victim at the scene; she was not hospitalized.

The suspect is described as a female with a thin build and light complexion. She was wearing black-framed glasses, a blue baseball cap, a pink sleeveless shirt, blue shorts, and white sneakers. She has long black hair.
