10-year-old in critical condition after hit-and-run in Bridgeton

BRIDGETON, NJ – A 10-year-old girl was airlifted to Cooper Medical Center after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in Bridgeton last night.

Police said the driver fled the scene.

At around 7 pm, police responded to 101 E. Broad Street near the Wawa after receiving a 911 call regarding a pedestrian that had been struck.

She was struck crossing E. Broad Street while heading to the Wawa store. The vehicle was described as a white SUV and fled northbound on the Bank Street Extension.
