101-Year-Old Woman Critical After Lodi House Fire

An apartment fire that broke out on Friday is under active investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Lodi Police Department. The incident occurred at a Rennie Place apartment in Lodi around 8:02 a.m., when police responded to a fire alarm. Upon entering the apartment, first responders found a 101-year-old woman in critical condition.

The elderly woman was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center, where she is being treated for serious injuries. The extent of her injuries and her current condition has not been disclosed at this time.

The investigation is led by Chief Jason Love of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and Chief Donald Scorzetti of the Lodi Police Department. Authorities are working in collaboration to determine the cause of the fire and any potential criminal activity that may be associated with it.
