Bronx Victim Beaten and Robbed by Five

Bronx, N.Y. — The New York City Police Department is investigating a robbery and assault that occurred late Monday evening in the Bronx. The incident took place on August 12, 2024, at approximately 11:30 p.m. near the intersection of West 190th Street and Jerome Avenue.

According to police reports, a 57-year-old man was walking to his residence when he was approached by five unidentified individuals. The suspects proceeded to kick and punch the victim multiple times before stealing his wallet, cellphone, and debit card. Despite the assault, the victim did not require hospitalization.

The suspects remained at the scene following the robbery. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.

The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the individuals involved.

“Anyone with information is urged to contact the authorities,” the New York City Police Department said in a statement.
