12-Year-Old Girl Attacked by Unknown Man in Brooklyn Heights

NEW YORK CITY, NY – A 12-year-old girl was violently shoved into a metal storefront gate last month and injured by an unknown adult male. Today, the New York City Police Department released images of the suspect caught on nearby surveillance video cameras and are asking the public for assistance in identifying him.

On Saturday, September 23, around 8:45 am, an unidentified person approached a 12-year-old girl outside 114 Montague Street. The assailant shoved the young girl against a metal store gate, resulting in pain and visible redness on her arm.

After the assault, the perpetrator fled without a known direction. The girl was later taken by EMS to NY Presbyterian Hospital Brooklyn for medical assessment.
