13-Year-Old Boy Shot In D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A shooting in Northwest D.C. on Thursday night left a teenager injured, prompting an ongoing police investigation.

Officers responded to Fort Stevens Drive Northwest, near 13th Street Northwest, just before 8:10 p.m. following a report of gunfire. Upon arrival, they found a 13-year-old boy with a gunshot wound.

The teenager was transported to a local hospital and was reported to be conscious and breathing.

No information about potential suspects has been released, and the investigation is active and ongoing.
