DUQUESNE, Pa. — A 13-year-old girl is in critical condition after being shot inside a residence on Tuesday afternoon in Duquesne. According to the Allegheny County Police Department, authorities were notified of the shooting at approximately 3:38 p.m. on September 10 via a 911 call.
First responders arrived at the scene in the 20 block of S 7th Street, where they found the girl suffering from a gunshot wound. She was quickly transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Detectives with the Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit have begun investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Early information indicates that the incident took place inside the home, but no further details have been released.
