HYATTSVILLE, MD – The Prince George’s County Police Department reported a shooting incident Thursday evening, where a 13-year-old girl was injured.
The event took place around 6:30 p.m. on the 5600 block of Hamilton Street.
Eyewitnesses stated that a red car with at least two occupants pulled up and opened fire, hitting the girl.
The perpetrators left the scene prior to the police’s arrival. In the aftermath, the police secured the vicinity and started their investigations, including canvassing for witnesses and gathering potential surveillance footage.
The injured girl is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital.
