13-Year Old Shot In Southeast D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A shooting that took place yesterday afternoon in Southeast D.C. left a juvenile boy injured. The incident happened at the 2200 Block of 14th Street near the DC Prep Anacostia Elementary Campus.

Shortly after 2 pm, officers from the D.C. MPD arrived at the location to investigate a shooting report. Police found a crime scene but no victims were found. Shortly after the call, a 13-year-old boy was found at a nearby hospital. The victim was suffering from a gunshot wound. The teen is expected to survive and was breathing and conscious at the hospital.

Nearby surveillance cameras captured the suspects’ vehicle. The vehicle is described as a silver or light gray Hyundai with the license plate number 9DJ0820.
