14-year-old shot in Essex in stable condition

ESSEX, MD – The Baltimore County Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding a shooting that occurred shortly before 12:45 a.m., Tuesday. Officers responded to the 1600 block of Cape May Rd, 21221, for reports of shots fired. When they arrived at the location, no victim was located.

Shortly after, officers received another call that a 14-year-old victim was found suffering from a gunshot wound. The injured teen was transported to an area hospital and is in stable condition.

No arrests have been made, and no suspects have been identified.

Detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department Violent Crimes Unit are working to determine the circumstances surrounding this case and are urging anyone with information about this incident to contact the police at 410-307-2020.
