14-year-old struck by car in West Orange

WEST ORANGE, NJ – A 14-year-old struck by a car on Friday in West Orange has been treated and released from the hospital.

According to police, at around 3:30 pm, the unidentified 14-year-old male was crossing Washington Street mid-block in the area of house number 40 when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle.

West Orange Police Officer and EMS treated the boy at the scene before being taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. His injuries were non-life-threatening.

He has since been released from the hospital.
