15-year-old arrested for carjacking in Chicago

CHICAGO, IL – Chicago police have arrested and charged a 15-year-old male juvenile with vehicular hijacking. The arrest was made on April 24, 2023, in the 1100 block of S. Hamilton by members of the Vehicular Hijacking Task Force.

The offender allegedly took a vehicle by force from a 33-year-old male on March 30, 2023, in the 200 block of N. Elizabeth in the 12th District.

The offender has been charged with one felony count of vehicular hijacking. Further details on the incident were not available at the time of the news release.

The case remains under investigation by the Chicago Police Department.
