15-year-old girl reported missing in the Bronx

BRONX, N.Y. — The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 15-year-old girl from the Bronx.

Shanel Torres, described as a Hispanic female with a light complexion, brown eyes, and black hair, was last seen at her residence on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at approximately 2 p.m. Torres is approximately 4 feet 11 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds.

She was last seen wearing a beige hooded sweatshirt, black leggings, and green sandals.

Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is encouraged to contact authorities as the search remains ongoing.
