15-Year-Old Reported missing in Gaithersburg

GAITHERSBURG, MD- Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police Special Victims Investigations Division are seeking the public’s assistance in locating Ava Smith, a 15-year-old girl from Gaithersburg who has been reported missing.

Ava Smith was last seen on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at around 4:30 p.m. in the 9800 block of Washingtonian Boulevard. Descriptive details have been provided to aid in Ava’s identification. She stands approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs around 165 pounds. She has brown hair styled in a bob with bangs. At the time she went missing, she was wearing a gray wool sweater and jeans.

The police department and Ava’s family are worried about her well-being and safety. They urge anyone who may have any information regarding her current whereabouts to come forward and assist in the search.
