15-year-old reported missing in Silver Spring

SILVER SPRING, MD – A 15-year-old girl has been reported missing since Saturday in Silver Spring. Today, the Montgomery County Police Department issued a missing person alert for Kaya Stephens.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing fifteen-year-old.

Kaya Stephens was last seen on March 4, 2023 at approximately 3:45 p.m., in the 600 block of Sligo Avenue.   

Stephens is approximately 5-feet, 5-inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. She is described as having medium length brown hair, brown eyes, pierced ears, and a pierced nose. She was last seen wearing a white crop top, baggy blue jeans, black converse sneakers, and carrying a black backpack.  

Police and family are concerned for her welfare.
