15-Year-Old Shot and Killed in Bensonhurst

BENSONHURST, NY – The life of Foridun Maulonou, a 15-year-old resident of Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, was cut short on Tuesday morning.

Maulonou was shot in the back on Monday afternoon just after 1 p.m. near 2007 62nd Street.

Following the incident, he was rushed to Maimonides Medical Center in critical condition. Despite efforts to save him, Maulonou passed away at the hospital the following morning.

Witnesses reported seeing a group of teenagers assembled before hearing up to five shots fired. The teenagers dispersed in various directions, including Maulonou, who was found collapsed on the street approximately half a block from where he was shot.

The suspect remains at large. He was described as a male dressed in a gray sweater, black or red sweatpants, and gray sneakers. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is still ongoing.
