16-year-old charged for the murder of Irvington teen

IRVINGTON, NJ – police in Irvington have announced the arrest of a 16-year-old boy who was charged for the murder of another young teenager earlier this month. Police said the 17-year-old victim was found dead shortly after 10:00 PM on August 19th on Maple Ave.

The names of the suspect and victim were both withheld by police due to their ages.

The 16-year-old gunman was also charged with tampering with evidence, two weapons charges, and receiving stolen property.
