16-Year-Old Female Charged After Threatening Family Member In Pennsylvania

Wilkes-Barre, PA – The Wilkes-Barre City Police Department responded to a report of harassment via text messages on Sylvanus Street.

A 16-year-old female from Wilkes-Barre, PA, was charged with harassment after repeatedly sending threatening messages to a 31-year-old family member.

The incident occurred on a date in May. The victim contacted authorities after receiving text messages that included threats of physical harm. The juvenile offender was swiftly charged following the police investigation.

Law enforcement officers were dispatched to the residence on Sylvanus Street when the complaint was lodged about the harassing text messages. The victim and the accused, a 16-year-old girl from Wilkes-Barre, were identified in the police report as the individuals involved in the incident.
