LANHAM, MD – The Homicide Unit of the Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating the fatal shooting of 16-year-old Jayda Medrano-Moore of Greenbelt. The incident occurred last Monday afternoon.
Officers responded to the 9800 block of Palamar Drive at approximately 3:45 pm, where they found Medrano-Moore suffering from gunshot wounds.
She was later pronounced deceased at a hospital. Preliminary findings indicate that the shooting occurred during a dispute between two groups.
A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
