16-Year-Old Robbed of Bike at Gunpoint in Dover

Dover, DE — Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred last night in Dover.

On June 17, at approximately 9:42 PM, troopers responded to an armed robbery on South State Street near Cool Springs Drive. A preliminary investigation revealed that a 16-year-old victim was riding his bike on South State Street when he was approached by a black male suspect.

The suspect pushed the victim off his bike, pointed a gun at him, and took his property before fleeing in an unknown vehicle. The victim was not hurt during the incident.

The Delaware State Police Troop 3 Criminal Investigations Unit is leading the investigation. Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding this case to contact Detective J. Sydnor at 302-698-8540.
