17-Year-Old Arrested After Attempted Armed Robbery in Allston/Brighton

Boston, MA — A 17-year-old male was arrested on charges of armed robbery on Sunday, August 4, following an incident on Commonwealth Avenue. Officers from District D-14 (Allston/Brighton) responded to reports of a fight involving a large group and a knife at approximately 11:10 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers found the victim restraining the suspect, who was then placed in handcuffs. The incident began when a group attempted to steal the victim’s moped. During the altercation, one of the males pulled out a knife and threatened the victim. The victim successfully disarmed the suspect but was then punched multiple times.

The victim declined medical treatment. The 17-year-old suspect was arrested and charged with Delinquent to wit; Armed Assault with Intent to Rob. He is set to be arraigned in Brighton District Court.
