17-Year-Old Charged for Knife Attack at Brooklyn Family Dollar

BROOKLYN, MD – A 17-year-old male has been arrested for his role in a fight between himself and a 27-year-old man where he pulled a knife and swung it at the victim.

On Thursday, at approximately 6:00 p.m., officers responded to a report of an assault at the Family Dollar located at 5009 Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn.

“Officers learned that the 27-year-old victim and the suspect were engaged in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical fight. During the fight, the suspect produced a knife and swung it at the victim. The victim attempted to flee, and the suspect chased after him with the knife. The victim was able to flee without being cut or stabbed by the suspect. The suspect, a 17-year-old male, was located at the scene and arrested and charged,” police said.
