17-Year-Old Found Dead inside Car With Gunshot Wound in Silver Spring

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division, Homicide Section, are probing into the fatal shooting of Tyrone Howard Brown, a 17-year-old with no fixed address. Last Thursday, at approximately 11 p.m., the Montgomery County Police Emergency Communications Center received a distress call regarding a vehicle collision in the 1500 block of Heather Hollow Circle.

Upon arrival, 3rd District officers discovered Brown within a car, suffering from a gunshot wound. Brown had collided with several parked vehicles in the Birches Apartments parking lot before coming to a stop. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he was subsequently pronounced dead. At this time, the detectives have no suspect information to provide, and no suspects are currently in custody.
