17-Year-Old Shot In Utica

UTICA, NY – Utica Police and Fire Units were dispatched to a residence on the 500 block of Nichols St on Wednesday, at about 1:50 a.m.

They were met by a group of individuals who reported a shooting.

A 17-year-old male was found with a gunshot wound to the arm and was transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital by Utica Fire Department for treatment. His injuries are reported as non-life threatening.

Multiple spent casings were found near the residence. However, neither the victim nor any of his associates provided additional information. The Major Crimes Unit of the Utica Police Department is now handling the case.
