18-Year-Old in Critical Condition After Being Struck in Hit and Run in Linden

LINDEN, NJ – Police are investigating a serious auto-pedestrian crash that occurred last Monday night.

According to police, at approximately 11: 15 p.m., the suspect vehicle was traveling northbound on W. Edgar Rd (US Route 1&9) when it struck an 18-year-old Rahway man as he was crossing the street at the intersection with Aviation Plaza North.

“The victim was transported to Newark University Hospital with critical injuries. The vehicle fled the scene, continuing north on Route 1 towards Elizabeth,” police said.
