NEW YORK — Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect who allegedly slashed the tires of 19 NYPD vehicles in Manhattan late Tuesday night.

The incident occurred around 11:40 p.m. near 145 West 30th Street in the 14th Precinct. Authorities say the suspect used a sharp object to damage the police vehicles before fleeing northbound on 7th Avenue and entering the 33rd Street subway station.

The suspect is described as a male with a light complexion and heavy build, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall and 260 pounds. He was last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, a blue hat, grey sneakers, and a white surgical mask.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the NYPD.
