19-Year-Old Dontreol Callhoun in Columbus’ 5th Murder Victim of 2021

COLUMBUS, OH – If COVID-19 doesn’t kill you in 2021 in Columbus, somebody else might.  In just the first three days of 2021, Columbus logged 5 homicides according to police.  On Sunday, January 3, 2021, at 7:15 pm, Columbus Police officers were called to the alley in the rear of 3026 Azelda St. on a report of a male down and out at that location.  CFD medics arrived before the officers and discovered 19-year-old Dontreol Callhoun suffering from apparent gunshots wounds.

CFD Medic 16 transported Callhoun to Riverside Hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced deceased by attending physicians at 7:15pm. The circumstances leading to Callhoun’s murder are currently under investigation.
