19-Year-Old Victim Identified in Fatal Shooting in East Harlem

NEW YORK, NY – A 19-year-old male was fatally shot in East Harlem, according to police reports. The incident occurred early Wednesday morning inside a building located at 205 E 112 Street. Authorities responded to the scene following a 911 call reporting the shooting.

Upon their arrival, officers discovered the victim, Ramon Alvarez, with a gunshot wound to his torso. Initially conscious and alert, Alvarez was quickly transported by EMS to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection to the shooting. The investigation is actively ongoing.
