$1M scratch-off score for lucky shopper at Fairfield store

FAIRFIELD, OH — A routine stop at a local convenience store turned life-changing for one lucky customer who won a $1 million annuity prize playing the Ohio Lottery’s Billion scratch-off game.

The winning ticket was sold at grab and go, located at 6330 Pleasant Avenue in Fairfield. The $1 million prize will be paid in annual installments of $50,000 over 20 years before taxes.

The winner matched the game’s second-tier prize, beating long odds of 1 in 99,692.

As of July 18, 118 prizes of $50,000 remain in the Billion scratch-off game, in addition to top prizes worth $1 million a year for life.
