NEWARK, NJ – A two-day operation by the Newark Police Division resulted in the arrest of 19 adults and one juvenile, all wanted for outstanding warrants.

Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé praised the efforts of the Fugitive Apprehension Unit, Liaison Unit, Emergency Services Unit, and Shooting Response Team. “I commend each member of these units for their tireless commitment to keeping our city’s neighborhoods safe,” he said.

Between August 30 and August 31, the police made the arrests as part of their Summer Crime Reduction Initiative. Each arrested individual is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The juvenile involved in the arrests has not been named or pictured.
