HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of Anthony Mansfield, a 20-time convicted felon, now charged with first-degree murder. This charge relates to a fatal overdose incident in November, where Mansfield was previously arrested for trafficking in fentanyl and other drug-related offenses.

Sheriff Chad Chronister emphasized the six-month investigation that led to these charges, underscoring the commitment of his office to combat the spread of fentanyl in the community. “We will continue to fight against the proliferation of fentanyl in our community and hold those responsible for spreading this poison accountable,” said Sheriff Chronister.
