20-Year-Old Shot And Killed In Northeast D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A young man was shot and killed Saturday morning in Northeast, D.C.

Shortly before 11 am, officers from the Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department arrived at the 1300 Block of W Street to investigate a report of gunshots. When police arrived, they found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

20-year-old Amonte Wood of D.C. was identified as the victim.
