Allen Bill Granting Free Copy of a Veteran’s Death Certificate Signed

Senator Diane Allen (R-Burlington) issued the following statement after legislation she sponsored granting free death certificates to veterans was signed into law today by Acting Governor Kim Guadagno.

“Eliminating this hurtle for families mourning the death of a loved one who served our country will give them one less thing to worry about during a very difficult time and hopefully provide some level of comfort,” said Allen. “Too often our society fails to recognize the tremendous sacrifices that veterans and their families have made. This measure is now another small way for us as a state to show our appreciation for veterans and their families.”
