Marine Mammal Stranding Center Rescues Harbor Seal from Point Pleasant Beach

POINT PLEASANT BEACH-On Tuesday, the Marine Mammal Stranding Center announced it has rescued its first harbor seal pup of the season stranded on Ocean County’s beaches.

The male pup weighed 37.4 pounds and is 36.5 inches long.  The center said the seal has a respiratory infection and wounds caused by a possible shark bite.
