HS WRESTLING: Brick Memorial Defeats Toms River South 48-26

The Brick Memorial High School wrestling team earned four pins, two technical falls and a major decision on its way to a 48-26 win over visiting Toms River South on Tuesday.

Joe Rotundo, Matt Wardlaw, Gianni Ghione and Nick Rivera had pins for the Mustangs, while Chris Richardson and Luke Vescovi won by technical falls. Justin Intile earned a major decision at 132 pounds and Casey Wines won by a 12-8 decision over Vinny Merlo at 160 pounds.

Riley Cheong, Owen McClave and Teddy Suarez earned pins for the Indians. Marques Alexander won a 9-5 decision over Ron Hopping at 182 pounds for Toms River South’s only other victory.
