Cranberry Canners Road Culvert Replacement in Spring

TOMS RIVER – Ocean County will spend $200,000 to replace an aging culvert on Cranberry Canners Road in Plumsted Township.

The work is expected to be done this spring. The Ocean County Board of Chosen Freeholders approved the project on Jan. 13. The work will result in better drainage in the area as well as a strengthened roadway. The work will take several weeks to complete.

The work involves replacing an antiquated five-foot diameter of corrugated metal pipe that crosses under the road. The work is part of the county’s program to replace any aging pipes along county roadways.
