HS GIRLS BASKETBALL: Toms River East Edges Toms River North 40-39

After trailing by two points at halftime Wednesday, the visiting Toms River East High School girls basketball team tied the score after three quarters and edged Toms River North by a single point in the fourth quarter to earn a 40-39 win.

Jenna Platter led the Raiders with 14 points. Kaitlin Lister scored 13 points and Sydney Schuler added nine for Toms River East.

Jenna Paul scored 14 points and Ashley Tutzauer had nine for the Mariners.
