HS GIRLS BASKETBALL: Toms River South Downs Lacey Township 42-32

The visiting Toms River South High School girls basketball team used a 19-5 fourth-quarter surge to earn a 42-32 comeback win over Lacey Township on Wednesday.

Nina Shirey scored 12 points and had 10 rebounds and five assists for the Indians, who trailed by four points after three quarters. Danielle Ferreri added 10 points for Toms River South.

Jamie Kazenmayer scored 11 points and Karlie Kuhn added eight for the Lions.
